Coachwork: IC/AMTRANS RE
Engine: T444E 7.3 w/ MD3060
Rated Cap: 36000lbs / 78pass / 39'
2001 International 3800

Selling either whole or parting out.
2001 IH 3800 $3700.00 for whole bus
303,xxx miles
7.3L V8 Navistar T444E turbo diesel 175hp rated.
Allison MD3060 Automatic
Air brakes, air seat, and air ride
Total length 37.5 feet, 31 feet of cabin space
Bus starts easy and drives well without any problems, I picked it up in WV and drove it 225 miles back home to TN (bus is in Erwin TN 37650) while towing a full sized van home, was in the 90s when we drove it home and never ran hot. Bus was already good on oil/trans/coolant fluids when I picked it up, no water in oil or fuel in water, trans fluid was clean and reddish, of course the oil is black as coal as one would expect.
Doesn't smoke on startup, idles smooth and even.
Tires are decent.
Bus is governed at 72mph and handled well at that speed.
All glass is good, no cracks or chips.
2x Batteries are 2 years old and hold a charge.
Clean and clear title.

Now here is what all needs attention on this bus:

Bus does lose air pressure an hour after shut down, doesn't take long to rebuild pressure, and at first there is some air leaking from around the knob of the parking brake nut after 30PSI it stops leaking. No problems braking or releasing brakes.
Engine has a oil leak at the oil cooler.
There is a little cracking on the front tires between the tread.
Bus has a little body rust, rear door is rusting/rotting at bottom corners.
Does leak water around the roof hatches and the rear hatch has damage to the latch/hinges but stays on and closed while driving.

I don't mind to ship parts, but if it's something that requires freight shipping then you will make all arrangements with the shipper including payment. I have access to a commercial loading dock in town, easy for a semi to access, if it goes on a pallet, there is a $50 flat fee for straps and a pallet.

Parts pricing (all parts in good usable condition unless otherwise noted):

Engine T444E 7.3 $2500.00 (complete, turbo to oil pan, all accessories that are bolted directly to engine, excluding PCM), if you want the engine but less accessories we can work that out.

Transmission Allison MD303 $1350.00 (includes torque converter, no TCM).

Injectors $75 each or $500 for all 8
Turbo $175.00
Turbo pedestal $75
Spider pipe $50
Intercooler and intake piping $100.00
Radiator $100
Intercooler $100
Rear end $1000.00 (includes air bags, springs, and all brackets)
Air ride seat $150.00
Windshield 2 large pieces $150 for bother or $90 each
2 smaller side pieces of windshield $50 for both or $35 each.
Steering column and wheel $100
Gauge cluster $125.00 (all working)
Side mirrors $125 both or $75 each
Main doors $100
Seats $10 each or $75 for all.
Front bumper $100 (no rust, no damage or dings)
Rear bumper $100 (no rust, no damage or dings)
Front axle $250.00
Hood $75
Drive shaft $100.00
Dash $50.00
Good roof hatch $35
Damaged roof hatch $10
Stop sign $50 (I don't know if it works or not, it was already taken off and laying inside bus when I bought it)
Driver window $50
Side windows $5 each or $75 or all.
Rear windows x2 $25 for both or $15 each
Rear door $40 (bottom is rotting out, glass included)
Rear door top window $15
Rear door bottom window $10

Of course if you want multiple items I will be happy to negotiate a better price with you. If you aren't farther than 250ish miles I could be talked into delivering COD style as long as you give me a deposit for the cost of fuel involved in driving both ways, parts or the whole bus.

I do not accept paypal, checks/money order/cash/money gram are all fine, please understand I will hold checks until they clear my bank before goods will be released.
If your coming to pickup items, I am able to meet with you 7 days a week no problem. IF I part this out I will not be selling the PCM/TCM/trans push button controls, or air compressor, I want them for spares on my rig.

I'm sure there is plenty I've yet to list, anything not listed just ask. reasonable offers always welcome, my phone number is FOUR TWO THREE-8O8-8883 call/txt, I don't answer restricted phone numbers.
I'll be updating this with pictures shortly today and will post a video link as well. Thanks for reading!

If you part it out I'd like dibs on the ring that goes between the engine and transmission. Just let me know your price, man.

I'm trying to psych myself up for a 1000 mile drive for some of this. Is this a high-ceiling bus? Are the side windows 29" tall or 23"?

Edit: never mind, I see it's a low-ceiling bus.

Hey sir, didn't see this comment until just now, I'd take $175 for the engine-trans adapter.

No, sorry. I wouldn't be willing to sell it though until the engine or trans is sold because I'm going to leave it running till someone wants either.

BUMP, still have most of the parts from this bus for sale. I have been slow to part it out as I have cut up most of the body and have the bus loaded with scrap metal and need to driver it to the scrap yard to unload before I pull the engine/trans.

I also have bought a 95 IH 3800 bus I've parted out as well, engine is sold (had a T444E).
I do have a AT545 auto transmission in good shape to sell as well with torque converter $400.00
