2001 Shorty for sale in Houston TX
Time to part with my bus and move on to other projects. Title in my name, registration is expired as a private bus.
2001 bluebird with T444e ~160k miles has a working handicap lift. Seats are torn out, ceiling and walls have 2x 1/"2 sheets of foam with an air gap. Roof deck brackets and rails are installed. from the back of the driver's seat to the rear door is 16', I think overall is like 24'. Tires are fine, runs good. Dash has a short so sometimes doesnt come on, I just use gps on phone for speed. I'll get some pics up in a day or two when I go over to it. I take it for a spin every other weekend. Hydraulic brakes so no CDL needed I had it insured through progressive for like $600/yr. Very easy to drive, wheelbase is shorter than longbed crew cab truck.
In a perfect world I'd get $6900 to pay for my next project but That's a bit much I'm open to offers

Too bad you need to bail on it.
Your price isn't too far out of line for what you describe, especially if it's a rust free Texas bus.
Good luck on your sale.
Post pics when you can...

its real similar to my Red bus.. came from the same district.. CyFair takes really good care of their busses and mine has pretty much zero rust.. this should be a good one for someone!

Mine's from a couple districts down the road, Ft. Bend. But yeah, Rust ain't a thing down here in Houston. There's surface rust in a handful of spots from grinding off the decals since I never got around to painting it

Ok I'm a liar it's got more miles than I remember. Headroom is 6'2.5" without any flooring down. cranked up a bit slow but it's been 40 degrees here for a few days, oh well. Also it's 15' from the back wall to rear of drivers seat.
A/c blows strong, needs a charge. looks like one bolt of the roof brackets has a small leak. Emergency hatch was removed and I put plexiglass over it, no leaks. The roof brackets are through bolted into the ribs so they're pretty beefy.
I started putting up luaun panels but meh, I'm over it. They're ok. The wheel covers aren't bolted down, neither is the bench from a dodge van.

Two really odd questions. How long is the wheelchair ramp? And what weight is it rated for?

We're looking for something this size--you're a bit far, it'd be a long drive home. Do you know what trans it has? How is it on the highway?

my red one turns sharper than a crew cab 6'4 bed Ram 1500. I think it may even turn a little sharper than my current ram 1500 Extended cab 6'4 bed.
