2003 International School Bus - Skoolie Ready - $6000 (Rockwall (DFW), TX)

This was our project bus for the past year or so; we planned on converting it to a RV but got all the hard work done and then gave up on it in favor of just buying a camper. The bus came from Union Pacific railroad and mechanically has been maintained meticulously.
We have taken out all of the chairs and patched the associated holes. The flooring has been pulled out and the floor was rust-treated and then painted twice. The side panels have been cut out so it's ready for new insulation and walls. The ceiling panels have also been removed and insulation taken out; they can be provided with the bus if you desire. The two rear heaters have been removed and the antifreeze re-routed to only serve the radiator and the front heater (does work).
We took the bus to our mechanic and had the engine cleaned up and the air brakes serviced; everything is in great condition for driving. This bus has the pre-emissions T444E diesel, the best motor you can ask for in this kind of project. They also installed two new batteries and setup a manual electric cut-off switch so the bus is ready to have a generator or solar wired in for additional power.

We have a clean title for the bus but it is not currently registered, our intention was to register it as an RV but never made it that far. Asking $6,000 or best offer; No Delivery.

Pic looks like 130k miles. The 8k hours would be about right for that mileage.
Have you hooked it to a computer to verify the mileage and hours?

You are right 130,699 miles. Sorry that was a typo. It has not been hooked up to a computer, but it was a transport bus for Union Pacific Railroad. That is the only previous owner we are aware of. This engine runs well. We have never had trouble with it.

As far as transmission model, is it an AT545? MT643? 2000? MD3060?

That is what the folks want to know...

If you can, get a pic of the shifter up close. We'll be able to tell what transmission it has from that.
Sounds like a nice bus.
I've got a friends bus and its similar. Was used as an employee transport bus and has low miles and is white.
GLWS!

That bus just got a lot more attractive....

White, T444e, 5speed auto and low miles. All good things.

Unfortunately, you may need to advertise on the Facebook groups and Craigslist if have any hopes of getting your asking price. Folks on Skoolie tend to be a bit more frugal........
