Can you tell us what engine and transmission are in this bus?
Does it have any rust?
Thanks.

Hello!!
No, unfortunately the AC does not work. At least, when my friends and I lived on it, none of us were handy/savvy enough to test it. I do think it could work though...just needs someone skilled to figure it out.

Hi Steve!
Sorry for my late response, after you wrote this I realized I needed to add more important information about my skoolie such as signs of rust, recent repairs, and the engine type.
It has a DT466 engine and an Allison transmission.
There is minor rust on cosmetic parts, such as the bottom of some outside door compartments, but as far as I know, I don't think there is any rust on major components underneath. I took more pictures and will be adding them shortly.

Can you be more specific about the transmission? Literally every school bus with an automatic has an Allison transmission.

More Skoolie Info & Repair History
So I realized that there's a lot of information I should add about selling this skoolie. This is my first time selling a vehicle (a skoolie, no less). Doing my best to provide as much helpful information as possible, plz bear with me.
TECHNICAL AND REPAIR INFORMATION TO KNOW:
- It has a binder of its ENTIRE maintenance history from when it was a school bus from 2004 - 2014.
- I've owned it from May 2016 until now. During this time, it has been driven from NY to CA back to NY, where it currently is. Norma had two major breakdowns under my ownership.
REPAIR HISTORY:
Bus had already made it to CA, it first broke down in TX on the way back to NY:
11/2016
ISSUE:
vehicle stopped changing gears at times and transmission light would come on.
REPAIR:
the code “SPW2003FM121- Loss of data link from transmission controller” came on. they removed the electrical connector to the valve body and found it was full of transmission fluid. they dropped the transmission pan and installed a new valve body and internal wiring harness.
PARTS REPAIRED/REPLACED:
internal harness, added transmission fluid, transmission filter, spin on filter, trans pan gasket, and valve body. they also installed a new transmission filter and gasket during installation.
The next breakdown also happened in TX.
2/2017
ISSUE: engine had a misfire and noisy valve train.
REPAIR: they removed doghouse to gain access to engine. they removed all add on components to gain access to valve cover, removed valve cover and found two bad injectors, bent pushrods, damaged lifters and worn camshaft. they removed cylinder head, oil pan, radiator fan, hood assembly and front timing cover—they removed cylinder head and replaced hydraulic roller lifters and push rods on cylinder #4, removed cam shaft from block and installed new camshaft assembly. they cleaned and reinstalled all components removed, adjusted all valves, replaced two injectors and all new injector o rings. installed engine oil and filter, anti freeze.
It has run smoothly since this major repair.
CURRENTLY:
The bus had been sitting all winter from 11/2017 - 6/2018 and wouldn’t start. Replaced the batteries with refurbished Interstate Batteries (3 month warranty), now it starts. Filled it up halfway with diesel, and it is now parked and for sale at its current location.
SO, with all this information, I actually have an honest question for you all. Is my bus worth the price that I listed? I want to be fair and sell it for what its worth, and I honestly don’t want to rip anyone off or be undersold. I appreciate your posts and interest.

Inquired with the owner on this bus, judging by her stated top speed of 55, and the style of shifter shown in one of the pictures it has the 545.

That's too bad. A bus that size with a DT466 and an Allison 2000 would be sweet.

Right. If someone can prove me wrong, please do, because I would make a run at owning this bus.

Got a pic of the shifter?
My 2004 has a 2000 and from what I understand they'd phased out the 545's by then.

Can't see the numbers/gears on the shifter. Looks just like my 04 with the 2000.
Based on the work done, it sounds like a 2000 to me.I don't think a 545 has a TCM.

Iosa is this close by to you? If you could look at the plate on the side of trans it should have a model# on it. As ECCB said I think 545 had been phased out. Plus the wiring harness repair. Did the 545 even have wiring?
