2004 International 29’ Diesel School Bus Conversion for Sale
Upcoming overseas move forces me to sell my beloved bus, “Skoolie Doo”. I bought this bus 3 years ago from a School District in Oregon who kept it well maintained. Work over the past 3 years has not allowed me the time this bus deserves to enjoy it on more family road trips. The bus is nearly fully completed and needs just a bit more work to make this bus the perfect adventure vehicle.
About the bus. It is a 29’ bumper to bumper bus with a flat interior (no wheel wells to build around). What has not been completed is finished connecting the electrical to a battery source. It needs a gray tank installed. Bits of trim on the interior, speakers, privacy blinds, backup camera, and a few other items. Much of the needed items are included with the sale but will need to be installed.
Important things to know if this is your first bus purchase, many areas of the US have issues with rust, this bus has NO rust issues. Also, any diesel bus newer than 2004 has added emission systems that can lead to performance issues and maintenance headaches (EGR, DEF fluid, etc.) This 29’ dog nose bus has an excellent turn radius and good approach and departure angles for getting in and out of places that other buses might have issues with. Also, you are less restricted in a shorter bus at campgrounds were there are length limits. I am meticulous and did all the work myself. Research is paramount. I shopped for over a year before I even bought this bus. I am more than happy to answer any questions you might have. Oh, pay attention to insulation efforts, some builders do not even address the insulation situation. Skoolie Doo has 2” floor insulation, and 1.5” on walls and ceiling.
