2006 Blue Bird Bloodmobile CA - Value?

I am assisting an organization with retiring their 2006 Blue Bird Bloodmobile in Southern California due to the engine swap requirement by Jan 2021.

I can share more details with those that may be interested, once I have approval to share the details (the company wrap needs to be removed first etc....lawyers!). But, it a full build Bloodmobile, so 4 AC units, 2 awnings, bathroom, sinks etc.

Assuming average mileage and condition, what would be the market value be for.

Kinda need to know the mileage too. within a thousand or so is fine. Reason being is there really isn't an "average" on something like that. Some were used and traveled a lot, others were a novelty that weren't used much.

Oh yeah, I might be interested. Was looking for a bookmobile, but this will work as well.

Generally bookmobiles go for anywhere from 5 grand on up to ten or fifteen.
A FE bus body with an emissions era engine isn't going to be on the the high side of the scale. If anyone offers anything close to ten grand take the money and run.
If there's a diesel genset that can add to the price if included and operational.

If it's in good condition you might get the most for it by contacting other blood banks in one of the free states. It might be a nice upgrade for another organization.

Sorry for the delay, I finally got the keys today and they didn't work, so hopefully I will get into it tomorrow and gather more details.

It does appears to be an All American Front Engine.

A lot of neat options on it. Sadly, the cat c7 isn't one of them. It's about the worst they could have gotten tbh.

I wonder the reasoning behind the 2 generators. I'd think 20kw would be enough for 4 ac units, so it's odd for them to double it. Unless the interior equipment takes that much power too, or they planned for redundancy.

Wow, that is a lot of gear on that rig. Wonder if both generators are needed to run the 4 rooftop ACs.

This could be a good deal for someone that wants to camp in Vegas in the summertime

Find some silicon valley Burners with trust fund and you could get big bucks for it.
I'd ask $25 grand and see where the party takes me.

But at auction I'd expect it to go for 6-12.

I would love to have that dual genny setup any day of the week. No problem loosing space for the redundancy. They probably alternate them when needed to keep the hours on them equal and just because they both need to run individually as opposed to sitting for long periods.
I doubt they need to run both at once anytime but anything can go down when you least expect it.

If one is down they are still in business being a bloodbank vehicle.


Have to agree on the C7 but sometimes you can't always get what you want. That is a lot of well built bus, wish they were all like that, heavy duty equipment.
