Hi!
i'm about to buy my bus, and actually saw this ad on craigslist before i saw this here. i finally made contact with the sellers. she's desperate to get rid of them. i just found out that 'all of the batteries have been stolen.' i kinda think that's a scam, but the buses are in a crappy part of Baltimore, so it's plausible. in order to run and test the bus, i need to come up with a 'diesel' battery. anyone have an idea what actual battery (or batteries!) i'd need to get to start a full size international or thomas bus with a/c? i looked at buses last year, but really don't remember.

I know that a 1997 Bluebird International with a t444e requires 2 8Ds.

We just carried an ordinary, well-charged automotive battery to crank up our bus when we bought it.

It might have 2x 8d batteries but it doesn't "need" them. It's the same engine as a Power Stroke in a Ford. That usually has 2x group 65 batteries. Buy them at costco and use them to start the bus. Keep them if you buy. If not, return them.
