The vehicle is a 2000 Thomas Built Bus Safe-T-Liner HDX chassis that was customized by Matthew Specialty Vehicles, Greensboro, NC., Specialty Vehicle Manufacturer.

Caterpillar 3208 diesel engine.
15 kW generator with remote start and a 50 amp service
4 hydraulic stabilizer jacks with remote control
folding ladder on the rear
Antennae: Winegard in motion antenna for satellite TV, and a 1.2 meter satellite dish for data. There is also a C-5 Weather Command Station that mounts to roof for onsite weather readings with monitoring station installed inside the vehicle.

Now that I read it- doesn't mention Police on it.
Maybe was Fire Dept Party bus... that had a sordid history... debauchery... investigation.... cover-up.... resignation... .Arkansacide... Auction....RV.

Turns out it has a 5.9L Cummins engine in it. whoops.
Caterpillar stopped manufacturing 3208 engines in the early 90s. Are you sure this bus has a 3208 engine? (2/1/18 6:37 PM)

I don't think I have ever seen a factory 250hp 6BTA or ISB motor.
It looks like it has an MD3060 as well. Not a bad combo.
Price is not to far off of what I would pay. Maybe I should call and make an offer. $4000 perhaps?

It's possible to use the Dodge system on the Industrial Cummins (tan), but is a bit of work. Anything is possible with a large enough bank account and a big enough can of cuss words.
Possible Options to make an Industrial 24 Valve conversion-friendly:
1.) Use a mechanical injection pump from a 1994 -98 Dodge 12 Valve engine known as “P-pumping” the 24 Valve engine
2.) Get ALL of the DODGE electronic engine components (VP44, ECM, PCM, TPS & throttle cable)

I was thinking wrecked dodge pickup for motor and electronics. Or if your in the northeast the rust gets the body but leaves a good drivetrain.
