I watched the clock tick down on the CA 7.3 shorties and almost bid, but decided it wasn’t wise as I had no plan for pickup...

Didn't the description say that they had been sitting for 2 years? Not sure I'd take a flyer on them in that situation unless if I was local.

I bid on a few of the E450 dually wide-bodies with front/rear AC (only a few of these offered). A couple of the ones that went early did ok, but when they got up over $2000 I lost interest.

GuiltyGot one with front and rear a/c at a decent price, then watched the rest blow up well past my winning bid. Not sure how I snuck through.

You did well and got the lowest mileage dually at a great price. Congrats! As I'm sure you saw... The later closing units showed some desperation among bidders... They probably got a pretty good deal, but since I already have a 2003 7.3L MicroBird I wasn't inclined to chase the bids beyond $1800ish. But wtf... I figured the newish tires were worth almost $1200. These busses looked pretty solid and not overly abused.

Once again... CONGRATS!!! Hope it runs as well as it looks. 👍

Thanks for the reassurance! Sorry to outbid you! I honed in on this one due to the low miles. Not sure why it went for less than the rest...
Since I haven't seen it in person, and looks like you own one, any recommendations or suggestions before my 900 mile trip home? Did you view them in person? I requested the maintenance logs from the bus barn to look at before I head down.
