This Thomas Bus that we own here at American Transportation Systems is in daily service and certified annually by the California Highway Patrol as Student Pupil Activity Buse, for ATS. It is forty feet long with a Caterpillar engine and seats 56 adults or 84 small children.It's painted in camouflage colors as a tribute to our military.
Unfortunately, thanks to CARB (California Air Resources Board), we can no longer operate the bus commercially after December 31, 2014 without extensive and costly retrofits. Fortunately, these new laws do not apply to private buses or bus conversions.
