Question 96 Thomas flat nose

Hope I am posting this in the suitable section

I've been looking for my 1st bus and have the opportunity to buy a 1996 9 window handicap flat nose Thomas. It has a 12v cummins and Allison 545 31 passenger with Air brakes. It has ~250,000 miles with working AC. I am wanting a short bus around 26' and prefer the flat front. Ive owned VW buses and a 60s for van so I am partial to the flat look.

They are asking $4900 negotiable. I've seen buses for less but typically they are 40' or not a flat nose.

Are they asking to much for a bus with 250,000 miles? This will be 1st bus so any recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks,

It all depends on how flexible they are. If they're willing to come down under 4, I'd say that's a pretty fair deal.

The 5.9 is plenty of motor for a bus that size. And with a wheelbase that short, you'll be amazed at how maneuverable that thing is.

Thanks Rameses I will be meeting with them to discuss the specifics. I love the look of the Thomas and I am a cummins fan. I currently own a Ram 2500.

I've never owned a Dodge, but I have 4 Cummins powered vehicles.

Pretty much everything Cummins has ever made that wasn't a V configuration was a great engine.
