All American or similar highway bus
Okay, so the check came, I have $4K to find the right bus. I'm racing motorcycles this summer and am looking for a proper touring bus. 40 footer. So far I'm looking for a '89 to mid 90's Blue Bird All American with a 8.3 cummins FE. Allison Mt 643 tranny. I see more transit style buses with the RE, seems easier to work on and easier to install a veggie system, but lacks the rear emergency door access for bikes and such. I drive long hauls so that cruzing speed of 65mph is a minimum.
I know if I had like $8K this would be an easier task. Unfortunatly $4K is what I got. Anyone have any leads on a good touring bus or advice on other makes? I will be running veggie oil so that is the one definitive variable as far as motor choice.
