Avoiding financial risk of having someone test drive your bus

Hello. Haven't worked on my bus in 2 years as my situation changed. I want to sell it as it is a good rig with low mileage, but I do not want to risk someone test driving and crashing thereby trashing my insurance and leaving me open to being sued by victim. How have some of you dealt with this? Saying "no test driving" seems like it would set off alarm bells. Thoughts appreciated. Deidre

A test "ride" in the passenger seat should suffice.

A deposit of the full asking price, with a "you break it you already bought it", deal. Refundable after the gamble drive.

Instead of the seller being required to have faith in each prospective shopper, only the cash-ready buyer need have faith in himself.

Also works for
"Can I drive your Harley, Boat, RV?" Sure, let me drive yours until mine comes back, in the same condition."

Can I borrow your tool or keys? Sure, let me hold your tool or keys.

Equal or better Collateral.

I didn't buy my rec vehicles, I loaned out money.
