It's just me, but I would not pay $4k extra for 9 less feet.

Buyer is very very pleased. Sweet little bus.
Sold it at 15K....Did I rip the guy off?
I don't think so. Does he think so? No. He got exactly what he wanted and waited so long for it. The Buses in question with their high mileage can be looked at in a couple ways for sure They may be worn out or they may have been well maintained. Only way to know for sure is to see them or have them seen by someone competent. Oil analysis would be imperative.
Hi I have the same bus and am intersted in the rear end change out you did. I am assuming your bus has an AT 545 trans. What was your cruising speed after? Around a $1000 for cost?

Thanks Joe

No ....the cost was about 2600.00 bus has the AT545 and Cummins 12 Valve. Cruises quietly at 70 at 2000 RPM. Top speed beyond the mechanical limits of the speedometer.

Thanks for that! Did you buy the unit new or did the gear shop buy it for you? Just wondering if it is a off the shelf item with a part no. ? Or do I need to start searching ebay..

I had the R&T fine at PETERSON CAT in zportlsnd. They walked the differential a couple hundred feet to what Inline to call the "watchmaker"... What parts he used or where they came from I can't say. Left the bus there and took off on a trip in another bus Came back and it was done. Best I can tell ya They Charged $700 bucks for the R&R though So had a guy that would do it for $400.00 I just liked the fact that the differential shop was nearby. So it wasn't in house but close enough.
