Re: Bus conversion wanted
Blow me down- what an asshole. Come on the sight, insult two mods, and then wag your stupidity for all to see by saying you'd rather go with a p.o.s. r.v.! Well, bub, go spend your 15K on a rolling crackerbox (and see what THAT gets you) and don't drive over any big pot holes in your travels, or your "mighty castle" might come tumbling down.

Re: Bus conversion wanted- NOT!
Kids these days are taught to want what they want and don't waste time getting it, unlike our parents who (at least tried to) teach us to work for what we want. It's a pity PFC Wright didn't hang around, he might have gotten an education.
Other than Jason or Kamoo, most of us do not build buses to sell. What he wanted was someone's pride and joy without the work. He might have gotten someone who has ideas for their next bus to part with their best work for $20k to $30k, but not half that. If his timing was serendipitous, he might have stumbled on someone's tragedy - a death in the family, a divorce, or becoming too ill to travel. If he had been polite, maybe Jason would offer to build one to his specs for a fee. Sadly, he will not learn this.
At least he was civil with Steve: nice bus, no thank you. I can see he might have thought 38 years was too old, but it is in probably better shape than a 12-year old bus on a used bus lot, unconverted for the same price. I can't see how he thought it was a short bus. Maybe he just doesn't want a gasser. Maybe he just doesn't want to (or can't) drive a stick or a split axle. Maybe he just didn't want to plumb a grey tank. Maybe he thinks all dog-nose conversions look like bums live in them. Steve's looks a lot like an RV with the awning and all.
What I can't figure out is why he gave attitude to a moderator who was attempting to help him refine his search. I got the impression he felt his time was too important to waste on posts that do not serve to meet his perceived goals? I wonder if he treats the Gunny Sgts on base with the same attitude?
