Buses for sale - Northern Virginia
School bus company in Northern Virginia is looking to sell at least 7 buses, varying conditions. If you have any interest, let me know and I can get you some pics.
I'll be posting more details as I collect them (mileage, engines, etc) but wanted to get this out there for anyone that would rather come see them in person.
My favorite of the bunch is the first one on the list - a short bus with only 12k miles (see D Bus Life blog for ideas on what could be done with this one) - Pics are of short bus.
Buses
#2 2008 GMC Savanna (short bus) w/ 12k miles and Duramax Diesel - $10k
#7 2005 IC Corp 78 passenger - $5k
#15 2005 International 65 passenger (blown engine) - $2k
#6 1998 Amtran 72 passenger - $4k
#20 2000 International 65 passenger - $2500
#5 2006 Freightliner 72 passenger - $9k
#12 2004 International 65 passenger - $8k

Let me check on that for you. I'm not a bus aficionado so I'm not sure what the easiest way to identify the engine/transmissions are. I'm going to check each one out this week and I'll record the mileage and take an outside pic of each one as well.

look for a sticker or plaque or something above the driver seat with bus specifications. Those are good to get pictures of. Lots of useful information there. Most busses have that, with GVWR, GAWR, build date, etc.
That shorty is a good looking bus.

Navistar 3800, T444E engine, 188k miles, manufactured 1999 (months vary depending on which sticker I'm looking at) VIN 1HVBBABP2XH256147
Still working on finding the trans info. I'll need to ask a mechanic why it's out of service or if there are any known issues. Have a dozen pics I can send you.

I'd like to hear more about that shorty. Looks like a Thomas body? Could you find out the interior height?

I’ll take an exact measurement tomorrow, but it’s right around 6ft. If you insulate the floor you’ll be bumping your head if your over 5’8”
