This school bus has been officially converted following the applicable Federal & State guidelines. The vehicle is now registered as a truck – it can be driven with a regular Class C driving license.

The vehicle was hand painted in April 2006 as a mobile work of art by artist Erni Vales. Erni has collaborated with world-renowned photographer David La Chappelle in custom-designing backdrops for shoots with Elton John, Madonna and Mariah Carey! He’s also done his creative thing on several commercials, television shows and movies such as Seven, Money Train and Vampire in Brooklyn. In addition, Erni Vales recently conceived and designed the concert stage backdrop for rock group "Hootie & The Blowfish." The bus looks spectacular and could be a collector’s item!

The bus interior was re-designed – the requisite numbers of seats were removed to meet the legal guidelines and a sound system was added. The bus is in good condition and has passed all the requisite inspections – a maintenance log has been kept on the bus.

The bus was converted according to the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles:

1. The red flashing lights on the top of the vehicle in front and back were removed and replaced with amber lenses
2. The Stop sign on the side of vehicle was removed
3. The Yellow arm in front of bus was removed
4. All the “School Bus� lettering was to be removed

Therefore, the bus no longer has any of the above features.

In addition, some of the rear seats needed to be removed to classify it as a truck. There can only be seating for up to 14 passengers, more than 14 would make it a commercial vehicle. Because laws in some states may vary, the seats have been left in the bus, not attached, and seat hardware for re-attaching them has been included.


The overall physical condition of the bus is good and the bus has been inspected on a regular basis including its mechanical and electrical system. However, the vehicle is being sold “as is� without any warranty. There is no warranty of merchantability or fitness. We reserve the right to end this auction at any time.
