Espar Eberspacher Airtronic D4 24 volt Diesel fired heater

I know I am posting on skoolie.net, Land of the Cheapskate Tightwads, me being one of them. So...if you think this is overpriced, too bad.

I have an Espar Airtronic diesel fired heater that I am thinking about selling. It is 24 volt which is a problem for some one with a 12 volt system unless you have room to put two 12 volt batteries in series. The power consumption is so low, I thought 2 sealed lead acid batteries might work. It appears unused and uninstalled. I am trying to find a list of all the parts that come with the kit to make sure everything is there. Fuel consumption is .10 gallons per hour on the hi setting which is the second highest. It is .03 gallons per hour on the low setting. According to the manufacturer's specs, running it for 24 hours on the low setting would consume less than 1 gallon of diesel.

I'm not sure if there is any interest for something like this. I will be asking $950 plus shipping. I have seen them going for $1900-2500 new. What say you?

These are nice, we use these in the van camper world. For a small bus it would be great.

I've been reading some boat forums. D4s were installed on boats from 29-37 feet. I figure that's good enough for a 40 foot bus unless your are somewhere really cold. I have a second one that will be installed in my 30 footer.

I flunked BTU class. So your saying this wont be enough to heat my bus especially if divided into zones?

ETA. Besides, I'm not British.

Ask JakeC from Project "Brutus" I gave him my 12,000 btu LP furnace. I curious if it was able to heat his bus.

Its winter. Post it on crags list.

For other readers. This unit would also work on a diesel pick up truck, semi, farm tractor, bobcat, loader, or just about anything that needs heat that runs diesel for fuel.
