For all that are bored right now.....

There is an annual auction an hour from me every year selling medium and heavy duty truck parts. Engines transmissions, axles, rims, you name it.

https://www.berryhillauctioneers.com...id=113&aid=620

Click live bidding on top of the page to get to the auction. You can click guest and follow if you're not registered.

Anyways, it's going on today and tomorrow, so for those of you bored and off work because of the virus, you can watch.

I have a few bids in on some lots so we'll see if I'm a winner today

Lol, heard that.

I think you're safe though. They require a deposit of 20% on your max bid amount, so if you didn't submit a deposit, you can't bid.

Once again it seems procrastination pays dividends!

They don't give a lot of information about what you're bidding on or am I missing something...?
(specifically I just took a quick look at the mounted tires)

Got a specific lot you're looking at?

Some of the stuff is pretty vague, but the engines are usually pretty well documented. They give the consigner contact info so a person could have called them for more information.

Although, I'm not sure if I'd be buying used tires/rims sight unseen anyways.

Yup, it does give a phone # and email for further info...

I didn't know if you can go pre-inspect before bidding like Gov.Planet
and some others...

Yeah, it was monday and tuesday. Truthfully, there will be some not sold this time around and they'll have that re-auctioned later in the year. We'll likely be allowed to be in-person at the one.

Well, I bid on 2 engines. A 6.6 duramax and a 7.3 International IDI.

Here's the duramax. Duramax Engine
I need a duramax turbo for a $400 core credit the shop owes, so I figured if I could get an entire engine for a few hundred, I could remove the turbo, resell the engine, and be money ahead. It looked to be in poor shape, so I was really optimistic my plan would work out. That went for $900 and needless to say, I wasn't the high bidder.

Here's the International. International Engine
I needed this for the exhaust manifold and turbo mock up. So my bus will be apart/disabled for very little time. I bought this for 200 bucks which is about what I thought it would be worth. I might rebuild it for if/when my current engine loses it's head gaskets with the power increase.
