For Sale 1965 Gillig conversion 35"

Up for sale is our 1965 35' Gillig School Bus Motor-home conversion. Broken Cummins C190 Diesel motor.
Last time out it encountered an engine problem and had to have it towed home. Found water in the oil so most likely it has a blown head gasket and worst case cracked head. Been told by many qualified persons that the head can be repaired/welded and milled. This is a perfect opportunity for the person with desire and capability to fix this motor and get out on the road in this classic beauty.
Asking $8000, have over $15000 invested and 4 years work on her. Here's a list and pictures of what you will get.

Very nice bus for the money even if it needs and engine, shame to see you get rid of it.

looks like a really nice rig. (other than that frig seems like a killer projectile in the event of a brake slam).. awesome inside and the gilligs were built extremely solid to last!

With regard to the refer. It is set in a steel channel bolted through the floor into steel structure, and the back side is solidly attached to the bathroom wall. and the cabinet above has zero clearance to keep it from moving upward.
It was a beast to get it in when I replaced it a few years back

And this. to me, is exactly what building/driving a skoolie is all about. Being able to do things like this to get exactly what you want without having to compromise in other areas.

Insulation: The roof insulation is as installed at the Gillig factory. The sides have fiberglass R20 insulation and none in the floors/basement other than what is provided by the flooring
