For Sale. 2000 Amtran RE

Listing my 2000 International "Amtran rear engine bus. Located in Florence Oregon. Price $12500.00 Engine is the T444 E. Trans is an automatic. Sorry I don't know which model. New main batteries. I have not installed any water lines, or water tanks. No electric installed yet. The floor " see photos" was primed and sealed. Wood bracing with insulation. Sanded plywood on top of that. The plywood was grooved to look like wood flooring. finished with Amber Shellac. Very durable and no toxic. Easily touched up, etc. Or add your favorite floor covering, carpet, Marmolieum, wood, etc. Or use as is. I have not put in any walls, bathroom, etc. No bed installed. Just two kitchen cabinets. Tongue and groove pine on the walls below the windows. The bus has around 140000 miles on it. New king pins were installed just before I bought the bus from an Oregon school district in the fall of 2016. It drives and handles really well. Brakes are in very good condition. The bus is registered as a motor home in Oregon. Tires have legal rubber. There is no rust on the body other than on small nuts and bolts and other small stuff with no paint. The paint is in very good condition. The two bus seats in the photos are not bolted down. They were just put there to see what they looked like. PM me.

Damn, I've got the same exact bus (+50k miles). Full kitchen counters, 84 gallons of water + pump, city water connection, 30a shore connection, 110v panel and outlets, 2 burner cooktop, bed, composting toilet, roughed in shower, bench seats in front, rear seat, dresser frame (need drawers). 1.2" of floor insulation, 1" rigid in walls and ceiling, haven't finished the ceiling yet.

Your bus does look fantastic and you did a nice job on the interior finish.

Did you remove any of the side wall metal and insulate, or insulate over that and simply build it out? Looks like the ceiling is original.

Did you leave the heater hoses in place with heaters?

I believe in leaving the inside sheet metal in place being it is a part of the safety structure of the bus. I just insulated over it and put in the tongue and groove pine over that. The ceiling was in like new condition. I sealed the roof seams with a product that wicks into the seam. No leaks. Love to see your build. Are there picts?
