So back in 2020, my fiance and I checked out a skoolie in central Utah, and accidentally dented it on the test drive. Being two young adults in early 20's, we panicked and just bought it without checking it out. It drove well enough for a few miles, but we stopped at another city when it slowed down . . . and the radiator burst. (Benefit #1: new radiator!)
Time-skip to ~2 months later, we got it back to our place in Northern Utah, and took out the previous construction; a queen-size bed, four sleeping bag shelves, a desk, and a toilet compartment across from a cast-iron clawfoot tub. Took a while between two full-time jobs, but it got done about mid-winter. (Benefit #2: New batteries!)
After deconstruction, we realized . . . we don't actually need this much bus. Life continued to get busy, so I'm posting the bus a bit late, but here it is. Let me know if it's of interest, or if I can answer any other questions!
Bus: 2001 Blue Bird TC2000
Engine: 5.9 Cummins
Location: Hyrum, Utah
Asking price: $6,000 OBO
Pros:
New radiator
Repaired wheel struts
New batteries
Cleared out interior
Unused claw-foot tub (if desired; can be removed if not wanted)
Good tread on tires (photos updated soon, it's too dark for pictures right now)
Reflective spray paint to supplement insulation
Unused insulation included
Cons:
Some lights' wiring is incomplete
Camo paint job (maybe not a con? To each their own)
Gas gauge & battery gauge work inconsistently
Engine has speed limit of 65 mph max
Roof hatch is missing (we don't know what happened there, it was there in the winter and spring, but went missing in the late summer. Thankfully it hasn't rained much, but it did rain a bit before we realized what happened. We're on it now, and there's been no lasting damage or lingering smells.)
