For Sale: 2001 E450 7.3 Powerstoke Conversion

Here it is - our 2001 E450 conversion!

This bus is epic, and more importantly, very well loved. The outside has been re-sealed, weatherized, and fixed up.

The undercarriage is clean with very little rust.

The inside, however, is where the magic happens.

we completely gutted the interior down to metal the subfloor and built new from there. Any questionable sections of subfloor were replaced with a double layer of pressure-treated plywood, and any any leaks were sealed from the inside and the outside with marine grade caulking. From there we re-insulated the walls and ceiling, put in a durable waterproof floor, and finished the inside with KD pine. We also installed a two phase electrical system with lights and wall outlets designed to run either off the bus's own inverter or a backup generator. The backup generator sits on a custom built 1/8th inch steel frame mounted on the back of the bus.
The inside of the bus features five seats (including the driver's). Two bunked beds in the back, two custom made couches that pull out into twin beds when needed, and a table for food prep make up the rest of the interior.

The 7.3 Powerstroke motor (the best one Ford ever made) runs strong. The motor does have a small battery drain and likely needs a started (something we haven't had time to fix) but with only 135,000 miles it is in fantastic shape.
since purchasing the bus we have replaced the vac pump, the serpentine belt, the transmission, the torque converter, and have had mechanics examine the rest of the bus for potential issues.

While we don't have one installed, this bus could be outfitted with an onboard water system and/or a composting toilet. There is space for water storage or a toilet in the 'ski closet' in the back, which is accessible from the outside of the bus only.

We converted this bus for ski trips but discovered that, unfortunately, as busy college students we just don't have the time to use it as much as we'd like to.

We are listing the bus for $10,000 WITH the generator.

Still available?

Is it registered as a bus?

I’m hoping to get one already titled as an RV

Thanks

It is registered as an RV in the state of Maine, so the title reads RV as well
