the 3000 series non pushbutton shifter from what I remember was a WTEC-II device and still has a display on it... this bus would be WTEC-III (doesnt mean there isnt yet another combo build of something I havent seen before).

the 545 was manufactured through the 2003 model year..
the 2000 series came out in mid model year 2000.

does the shifter have D-4-2-1 or D-3-2-1 or (D)-D-2-1?

DT-466s with AT545s were popular in the late 90s.. the Low-spec 175HP DT-466E was offered with the AT-545..

I was posting a pic of the 545 shifter.
No one is debating a typo, your deletion of the most important word of the sentence was what I was questioning.
What do you mean by completely different? Allison has a whole line of Series 3000 trans, same trans with different programs and gearing. 3000, 3060, 3066, 3070, 3200, 3560. 3566,etc

I had one, then blew the 545. Now I have a DT466E with an MT643!

Once you get it back to that stage you're looking at a $2500 bus.
My price is based on how much busses are selling for in my area. There are buses for sale that are much older and have significantly more miles for around $8,000. As for modifications, I’ve removed emergency flashing lights, stop sign, repainted bus, removed seats, there is a layer of insulation on the floor and walls that’s R20. I’m selling it as an empty shell for someone to convert to their specifications. The year, condition, amount of money I put into the modifications, labor and time, and location are what my price is based on. I’m sure you have read what a hassle it is to change the title and get these things insured. I did that horrid part for my buyer. the insurance will be lower now that it is titled as motorhome and you don’t need a CDL to drive it. What I’ve asked is a starting price, I’m taking offers. I don’t live where I store the bus so I will be going to take pics and find engine and transmission specifications soon.

Have you found someone to insure this conversion as a motorhome? My bus is a full conversion titled as a motor home and I still have not found a solid source to insure it as such. It is still insured as a Commercial Vehicle for personal use.

"Asking $9500" Your facebook post says $8000. People on this forum know their stuff and will just point out facts as they see them. You drove a bus from a state notorious for rust (New Jersey) to the west coast (Washington) an area highly coveted for being virtually rust free. My title conversion from a bus to RV took a total of 30 minutes waiting at my local DMV for my number to be called. We are just trying to be realistic with you. Also please confirm your transmission. These are all things any serious buyer will want to know. According to your IG page, you have been trying to sell this since Dec 4, 2018 so you might need to reevaluate your price.

In re-reading the ad, did you put the insulation and new floor on top of the original bus sub-floor / plywood deck?

How was the rear door rust "partially repaired"?

If purchased from Wash. that bus would have sold for no more than $2K. I just realized he took it from N.J.. I guarantee no one in Wash. is paying $8k for buses from N.J. I got a fantastic bus from Wash, paid $3500 for twice the bus.

Where in Washington were you looking for buses? I'm located down in San Francisco, and i'm looking to purchase somewhere West Coast, ideally rust free places. Any tips on places/areas/websites to look at? Thanks in advance

I actually bought my bus off Craigslist in Butte, Montana for $3500. It was purchased from an auction in Spokane about 6 months before I bought, they paid $2700 for it.

Google search above for "places to buy a bus", there are several threads on the a subject.

Now come the detail pics. That rust on the chassis and door would have had me setting a world record running away. With that much visible rust damage makes your statement of "likely some rust on floors", surely minimizes the damage. I guarantee some MAJOR rust on the floor. Just devalued it by another $1K. You're going to have a tough time seeing that in your area when there are so many good rust free buses in the area.

the rot on the under carriage isnt terrile.. ut no good pics of the stairs and asreas up front... those areas rote worse and are a PITA ro reuild..

it appears to hgave an allison 2000 series trans.. 0.74 OD with 5.38 axle makes for a nice gearing and highway speed capable bus

still way over priced for what it is,

Not sure how to quote a picture, but I would not advertise that rear door as "partially fixed"
Born and raised in New England, so I am very familiar with the bondo buggy and I am aware that people have a sliding scale of what counts as rusted and what is "rust free".....but that is partially covered....not partially fixed. Even in my youth, that kind of embellishment would result in a no-sale to me.

Now....someone come on here and tell me what transmission has that shifter handle, this is how I learn!

Not familiar with that shift handle. The listing says it has no overdrive. So it's obviously not the 3000 it says it has. What other tranny has a non locking converter?

That’s a Typical 2000 series handle. Instead of d 4 2 1 they used the OD symbol.
Still a 5 speed trans one gear of OD.
There were more than one supplier that made shift handles to work with various Allison’s . So they varied a little
