For Sale - Two Emergency Hatches for Roof

I removed both of the emergency hatches from the roof of my 2003 Collins short bus, and if anyone wants them, let me know. The bezels on each are yellowed, and the bezels are cracked, but the bezels are riveted to a steel frame, so the cracks are cosmetic only. I took pictures of one of the two, and the other is very similar in terms of cracks/yellowing. Make an offer! I'd be happy if they just go to a new home.

There's a curbside cleanup day in our town this weekend. Last chance to claim these two emergency hatches if anyone wants them! If not, they'll be tossed out on Saturday morning.

Thanks,
Chris

I have no idea what they would cost to ship, but if it's not urgent, I may actually be in East Texas later this year, in the October/November timeframe. If you want one now, I would need to estimate shipping (and see if I have a box big enough, or at least "wrap" with cardboard). Otherwise, I could bring both to Texas later this year - you would need to pick up in the Tyler area. Let me know!

Thanks,
Chris

I shipped one north a few months back, think it was around $35 to ship it.

I'm not in a huge hurry, Chris, but I'm in a bit more of a hurry than October or November. I would gladly pay $35-ish for shipping.

Thank you,
Terry

Howdy Chris. And thanx for the fine offer!
Can you get me the dimensions, please? The design is different from what I have installed.
I need to replace my incontinent E-hatch, ASAP; despite numerous attempts to dam it, the damn thing still allows water in thru the vent cover!

Sorry for the delay. The top lid is just over 27 3/4" wide. The inside trim is just over 26 3/4" wide. The hole in the roof would need to be at least 23 1/4" wide. Let me know by end of Friday if you want one, or I'll be putting them by the curb for pickup.

If you want one, I'd ask for enough to cover shipping and packing materials. I don't have any large boxes, so I may need to spend a few bucks if I can't find someone with some big boxes.

Get a roll of shrink wrap and just wrap it up good and place the label taped under the last layer. This saves a bunch when the package is priced by size.

The existing aperture in the roof is @24.25", so should ought work.
So long as the cracks in the plastic aren't conducive to hydrologic flow (long since solved that on mine, the vent is ferschimmeldt), I'll happily pay the cost of ground shipment to 77830.
Unless its cheaper to not send via USPS. Nearly the same Zip code, just that the PO don't deliver here...
Dibs on pick of the litter! [emoji16]
Thanx!

Just in time! I just ran down to pull the two hatches out of the junk pile getting picked up in the morning. I'll see what I can do for packaging these up and will see what shipping and packing materials will cost and let you guys know.

Neither were cracked, except on the trim shown in the pictures. Before I removed them, only one leaked, and that was because of the gasket on the roof of the bus that was ripped (since taken off, in pieces, and thrown away).

Chris

Chris, I think we can do 2 for 1 on the shipping. Let us work out the details, but we definitely want them. This is awesome.
