Fridge needed! any size, and info on what kind

Hello there,
WE have a 97 5.9 cummins bluebird bus we are turning into a camper..pictures to come soon. We are looking for a fridge, and were told that we cannot use a household since the freeon will be an issue, and 12v/120v would be ideal, so we would not need to run propane lines...unless it is much more efficient, but we have a 2500 watt power inverter, 5000 watt generater, 3 batteries in the bus. Any information would be much appreciated, or if anyone is selling one, hopefully used, since new ones seem to be over 700 dollars. Thanks!

There's a good reason that virtually all motorhomes use propane fridges. They are silent, work great, and run practically forever on a tank of propane. Installation is a little more involved because they need a vent, but that's nothing anyone who'd tackle doing a bus conversion should blink an eye at.
Electric fridges are battery drainers.

I was told that for some reason, regular fridges if they tip over or get tilted, as in moving it, will mess up the free on and you need to let it sit for a day or two...this is what i've been told by a few people, but whether or not it holds true is beyond me. We are actually using this bus as a camper for dirtbike races across new england, mainly nh, RI, and mass..for nemx, and we will be pulling a 12ft motocross trailer. At the moment, we are looking for a fridge, and what kind to get, but mostly just trying to find one is not easy, since we cannot afford a 800 dollar fridge, which that's all i am finding..and craigs list doesnt seem to have too many...we are always going to have 120v power, power inverted while running and 5000 watt generator while somewhere where there is no shore power, which when we 'camp' at the races overnight, there is no power, but can keep our 1500 watt silent generator running..it is mostly just to keep the meat's, etc cold, instead of having a lot of coolers, and since we do cook a lot....Thanks again

check out sears 9.5 c.f. item #046629120000, model#62912 right now the price on-line is $339.00 , the freezer is manual defrost & the fridge is supposed to use only 1.5 amps @ 110/115 volts, I read reviews & the reviews I got were pretty good including a person wrote in living off grid & a person using one in a fifth wheel trailer, just my two cents!
