FS: 2000 Amtran FE 30' DT466E 6 Speed Alison MD3060 in Utah
Well my life has changed drastically in the last 6 months, divorce and living in an apartment. No place to keep Wilma my bus.
So Im putting her up for sale.
She's a 2000 International/Amtran FE Flat nose front engine bus. 30.5ft bumper to bumper. High roof 78" and is from Utah, although the rust is minimal.
She has a 215hp 620tq DT466E engine that has been overhauled with Navistar pistons, liners, bearings, and gaskets.
I installed larger injectors from the larger 530I engine and had the injectors rebuilt.
I also installed the larger turbo, a GT3782BD that is from the 530I engine as well.
it has the largest full size radiator and intercooler from the 4900 chassis trucks, it also has a extra large auxiliary transmission cooler from Hayden with proper high pressure lines.
It has a pyrometer, fuel pressure gauge, boost gauge and injection gauge. all this to keep an eye on the engine.
The transmission has the additional 6th gear enabled with a proper Alison TCM for this engine. It cruises at 1600 RPM at 70 mph
The rear gears are 4.44:1
Tires are 11R22.5 and are Michelin steer tires and Michelin recaps in the rear. Steer tires are from 2015, I dont know about the recaps.
It sleeps 7 to 8 people depending on how friendly they are. It has two sets of bunk beds and a queen size bed in the back and the couch pulls out into a twin ish size bed.
It has a 4 burner stove, propane, a 7.5ft residential fridge
it has a 25 gallon propane tank
it has 4 tanks each holds 55 gallons of water for a total of 220 gallons of water. Each tank is individually valved on the inlet and out let so you can modulate how much water you want to care. It also has a dump valve for all 4 tanks and city water inlet with an inlet water filter.
It has a 50 gallon Grey water tank
It has a wet bath with a composting toilet and an on demand propane hot water heater.
The bus has 6 solar panels, each is 325 watts of power for a total of 1950 watts of solar
It has 3 MPPT charge controllers each will handle 40 amps
and 3 8D size batteries stored outside in a custom battery box with the 3 group 31 starting batteries. I used all 4/0 copper cable to make all the connections between batteries and to the inverter.
The inverter is a 3000 watt inverter/charger and has a 50 amp/120vac transfer switch and a 30 amp onboard surge protector.
It has a new 200 Amp alternator connected to the house batteries through a constant duty cycle solenoid using 4/0 copper cables. This lets you charge the house batteries while you drive.
It needs the cabinetry finished in the rear bed area and the overhead cabinets need doors.
It has a solid one piece steel door with a proper RV crash rated locking door handle.
It has all LED exterior lights
I started to get the engine driven A/C system, but I haven't installed it yet.
It needs exterior paint on the sides, the roof has 4 coats of white elastomeric roof paint.
It has a kenwood stereo w/rear camera and dvd player, tv, wifi booster, and cell booster.
If your interested call me at 801-897-6560, David. I can text you the tons of build pictures too.
So I have more than 2 years of labor in her and a ton of money. It was supposed to be the family travel machine but life and divorce changed all that.
She is registered and licensed as an RV/Motorhome, no CDL license needed
comes with a whole pile of spare parts and stuff for the interior, exterior and the drivetrain. Too much to list.
Id like to get about $25,000
