Fully Converted 1992 Blue Bird

For sale is my beloved skoolie conversion. Built on a bombproof 1992 Blue Bird All American chassis, 40 feet long with a Cummins 8.3L and only 177,000 on the clock. Mechanically the bus is excellent. Has new tires, new batteries, and fresh fluids. Needs absolutely nothing!
As far as the buildout goes, no expense was spared. It is fully setup to exist off-grid with 1200 watts of solar (24V), 450AH of battery storage (24V), 77 gallons of fresh water storage, electric hot water, and a compost toilet. It also has hookups to use city water, shore power, and septic grey water. Has a wood-burning stove and spray-foam insulation, along with a roof-top deck, pull-out guest bed and a queen bed in the back.

That means he will PROBABLY not sell the bus even close to this price, but if he doesn't try it is CERTAIN he will not sell it.

Really?? Think, dont knee jerk react, but think on it for a minute.


Going with this analogy, look at it from the customer's view point. If the customer wants a drink, and the bar tender does not pour one,........
If many customers want drinks and the bar tender does not pour any,.......


So on to the bus for sale. The price is posted. The skoolie culture says "holy s**t!!! Batman". But in reality, you have to start somewhere. You can always lower your price, but here on earth, you can't raise it. Most have been trained to believe a high price will scare away potential offers. However that is a trained line of thought. Kinda like when one sees and ad with "call" in the price line, but the seller is only able to take calls from 2:00pm and 2:20pm every fifth thursday on months ending in the letter b.


A well organized seller at a high price will "weed out" a huge amount of tire kickers that want nothing more than to get ideas that they will never afford. An informed and experienced buyer will see the opportunity to look, leave, and come back with a reasonable or low ball offer when the time is right.



Right now, any reasonably well built rv, even a skoolie, will sell for decent money.

RV sales are swift again this spring according to a buddy of mine who sells brand new ones.. 65k will at least get you the ability to not need sweat rags for summer drives, enough room to stand up,, and a toilet that isnt a stinky poop bucket

I didn't say "too much" but "way more than it worth". Not the same thing.
It's a public forum, and I think members are allowed to express their thoughts. Mine is your bus worth $15k. Maybe other people would say it's value is 30k, or more. At the end, the value of it will be the price you and the buyer would agree on.

Probably more frustration with how the market is right now. I’m frustrated with prices as well. Although I want to build mine from the ground up, I want a bus similar to yours and the prices have more than doubled on what I’m looking at since the horrible beginning of 2020. I think some are just tired that what used to be a way for anyone to enjoy traveling and tiny living, is now up there with those high end rvs, and buying an unconverted one is nearly as difficult and expensive. Lots of dealers and individuals taking advantage of the market while they can. It hurts when your entire life and dreams are on hold because of such things.

All that being said, it is your hard work and your pride and joy. If you think it’s worth $1 million, you go for it. It will always come down to what someone is willing to pay, and that isn’t really anyone else’s concern. 🤷🏼

all imn saying is EVERY bus that ive been in which has a "compost" toilet i can smell it the minute i walk in the door... ive not experienced the same thing with RV toilets for the most part.. not saying that ill-maintained RV toilets dont stink.. because I have smelled an ill-maintained RV toilet before... same as ive smelled people's house toilets that dont clean em!
