Re: inverters

all depends on the size of your batteries. How many AMP hours do they hold? How much is your fridge and your furnace drawing, etc.

WELCOME to the best Skoolie site on the WWW. I see you signed up last year but never posted before, so look around and you will find lots of information, also about the question asked.

Here a very helpful link to your battery question. http://www.phrannie.org/battery.html

Re: inverters

Watts, watts, watts. You need to find out how many your devices draw. The lights will be easy. You do plan on going LED or fluorescent, right? The fridge will have a tag on the back that will say 1.2 amps, 120 volts AC, 60 hz or something to that extent. Watts are just amps times volts. The same goes for the blower. It should have a rating plate on it as well. You will also have to figure out how often those items will be running since neither is a continuous duty application. Get that much information and come back to us and I think we will be able to help. Lord knows every one of us went through the power system design process.
