Is this a good bus to buy?

Their are 2 identical buses I’m looking at both are
2004
Make: Blue Bird
Model: TC2000 Special Needs
Mileage: 168,690 and other bus has 192,947
Running Condition: Good
Engine: both are Cummins ISB 5.9 L
Transmission: Allison automatic
Tires: Fair on both
Price is at $2000 from a online govt auction.
Their are no records btw.

items are equipped with a 5.9L ISB Cummins engine, automatic transmission, Ricon S series 5505 wheel chair lift, and Transair air conditioning. Units runs well and can be driven. Unit has been sitting for some time and the a/c units will likely need to be recharged. Unit is equipped with 8 seats, 4 with integrated car seats. Setup is for 3-4 wheel chair stations. Bus is equipped with track seating and additional seats can be purchased thru a Blue Bird dealer. Unit being offered at no reserve price.

Item is in running condition. Items are being sold “AS IS, WHERE IS” with no warranties expressed or implied.

This will be for my Skoolie conversion ?
Please help does this sound good?

Other than the least desirable drivetrain they're okay. What are your plans for it, how much open road driving to plan?

Okay. And my plans will be to convert it into a tiny Skoolie house and I will be building it out maybe for the first year and drive it out west (California) once it’s finished for a more permanent living situation. I will travel in it but not a whole lot just a few times a year maybe for vacations.

I paid the same money for a comparable 1996 model. Mine is a 32 foot, has dual AC, the mechanical 5.9, and was used as an employee shuttle bus.

I love my 1999(2000 in a Dodge truck) model year 5.9 Cummings. A 2004 has more power. If you have the 4-speed Allison, it ain't that great. If you got the 5/6 speed, you are really winning...
But your bus is longer than my 26-footer. If you're not driving it much, it won't matter....
