Is this worth checking out?

This was posted in my neighborhood. Is it worth checking out? Im still new at this. In about one year I will live full time in an RV/Skoolie.

If it looks like I should bite, what questions should I ask? Pics were posted and it looks to be in great condition.

Any insight is appreciated.

1986 Chevy school bus, that has been used as a rv for the last 10 years. Features potable water, 110 volt electrical system, 2 tv's, microwave, refrigerator and ventless blue flame furnace. Custom made screens on most of the windows. All around very solid rig. It has been registered as a recreational vehicle. Has a 366 CI big block Chevy, backed by a 5 speed manual transmission. This was converted just for my needs to pull my race trailer and give me a place to sleep, but could be easily be transformed into a tiny house, hunting shack, party bus, or even a redneck cabin. The possibilities are endless. $3500.00 OBO

In my mind no, you can get a nice diesel for that price from an auction.

But photos would be nice, if the conversion is done nicely maybe

So in your opinion, it might not be worth the work that is already completed on it?

What I see is a build that was thrown together (all OSB) with no removal of factory panels and insulated properly. This is okay for short periods, but if you plan on living in it , or spending a period of time in it, you'll want to insulate it, which means removing everything already in it. Is it worth it?

That is a low end bare bones conversion. Me myself no I would not touch it. But do you time space money know how to do a full conversion, if yes then look on word, if no and that works for you go for it be ready to pass everything very slowly but a fuel station

Thank you. I could inquire if they did insulate already.

Just FYI. That bus has been for sale for months and started at $5000. It is a MN bus and likely has rust issues as well. I am only an hour away from it. For that money I got a 40' RE Bluebird with an 8.3 Cummins with a 3060 trans out of WA. Just not a good use of your money. My opinion.
