It's all in the name!

Check this out: http://austin.craigslist.org/rvs/4288996577.html

I think some of you guys should just paint the word "Wanderlodge" on the forehead of your bus and see how much someone would pay for it!

Re: It's all in the name!

It does appear to be an actual Wanderlodge: Not a Pretender. It's been on Craigs before. How could one ever forget those hideous hubcaps? If your point is whatever it is it is way over priced? I'm all on board with that............If the guy had yanked the "gasser" out of there and slammed in an old school 12 Valve Cummins.......it might be worth 15K.

But the market tells the truth: And I know that particular bus has been available for at least 4 months................surely not my cup of tea..............I'd prefer even the venerable 3208 to a gasser........Moki

Re: It's all in the name!

Nice looking bus. It is a real Wanderlodge. It will not get sold for that price. I have my own "Wanderlodge". The Cat 1160 diesel can get 10 MPG if I drive slowly. I usually press it pedal to the metal and get 8MPG at 70 MPH.

I am NOT selling mine. I surely could not get much for it anyway,

Dan, you know what my bus looks like. You also know that this the the only home I have.

Nevertheless, that bus is nice looking. However, a gasoline engine is dumb in a big vehicle.

Thats is exactly why I decided to build one. A 1980 wonderlodge cost more than I could pay for it and you still have a 1980 drivetrain. I also could not afford to drive a gas bus at 6mpg.
