Everybody does the van/VW thing. Why not an old Jaguar, Lincoln Town Car or maybe a 1975 Chrysler Cordoba with fine Corinthian leather?

Actually, one of the coolest transplants I've ever seen was the top off a 1964 Oldsmobile Station Wagon with the Vista Cruiser roof. Awesome!

Tango a friend had a 75 Cordoba, with 5 of us in the girl, he could floor it and I swear the 4bbl'd 440 would make the rear bumper drag....that was a big car

Personal a airplane cock pit would be cool also

They mounted it backwards.

I would like to be siting in the van on top while going down the road.

Also it would have been more aerodynamic with the van windshield forward.

Ya...the hind end of a VW bus is about as UN-aerodynamic as a brick. Not sure what the thinking was there. That said, one of the coolest looking VW Bus Toppers I have ever seen used one of the 21 window bodies. All those small windows along the roof line made for a really sweet solarium on the top floor.

I've got a 1983 VW Bus you can have for $300.00. Been sitting for 20 years left door crunched, rear window gone, rust on lower panels yellow jacket nests in front bumper mounts. You can pm me for more info. Close to I-90 and 405 Bellevue, WA

Good idea Jack.

I think done right, a VW on top of a grown would look great.

It would look like the baby riding on the mommy's back.
