Looking for Conversion and/or Storage Space in NY area
Hey folks,
My wife and I life in NYC currently. We're in the market for our bus, and need a place to store it as close as possible... Ideally this would be somewhere we could store it and work on it, but if we could only store it, than I'll take what I can get. Rent involved obviously. Proximity to transit is a plus... Planning to buy a 35-40' bus. Anywhere in the general New York city would be great, even if it could only be short term.
I don't live in the area any longer, but I would look somewhere in NJ, off the nj transit line. Easy train ride to the bus. Out toward Staten island or queens could work too.
Some town names... Matawan, cliffwood beach, Middletown (expensive area) hazlet(better than Middletown but no by much) Red Bank (small City), long branch (starting to get pretty far)
You could look at places in S.Kearny (lots of places truckers park) and areas around Bergen County... I am less familiar with the New York areas.
You can ask him. It's a tricky situation though. Dude is renting out his mothers backyard without her permission. She doesn't have a problem with us. Have to be very incognito. Our bus is hidden behind the bushes. Check Craigslist. There's plenty of places. Just have to make a lot of phone calls. I know he'd probably say yes but the mother will say no. There's space but she doesn't wanna see a bus in her backyard everyday.
