Looking for first bus

Hello everyone,

A group of my friends and I have got the crazy idea of buying and renovating a bus into something we can drive on road trips. 6-7 mid to late 20s males, so physical labor shouldn't be an issue. What kind of bus should we look for? We don't know anything about buses and are at your mercy for information.

Also, we are located in southern california and are looking for suggestions on where to even purchase a bus. Most auctions we find are closer to the east coast.

We found this guy on craigslist and are pretty confident we can talk down on the price quite a bit. But again, we don't know anything about buses and what to look for while doing a test drive.

Id go for a mechanical International mid length and put bunks and a restroom in it.
