looking for under belly storage bay doors

I'm looking for 3 under belly storage comparment doors for a BlueBird All American. (I would bet there is more than one size but I've not gotten that far yet) Any ideas? I'm going to start searching the internet for a bus bone yard of some sort. Thanks for the help.

Don't forget to get the "rain gutter" that runs above the doors. I sure could do with about 8 more access doors!

Re: looking for under belly storage bay doors

Well all be. Pretty much looks like you guys and girls have this storage bay door thing covered. Thank you much.

Glad to hear the tc2000 doors are the same. Our local school district runs a ton of them so I might just stop by the "bus barn" and see if they have anything laying around.

Keith do you have any pictures of the doors you made? I'm not apposed to building some doors but if I could just unbolt a few from a donor bus that would be my first choice.

Re: looking for under belly storage bay doors

look at the bottom picture and you will see the hinges that come with the bus,but if not,use a slide bolt hasp for the hinge rod to go into.for an extra door go to bottomdollor on e-bay and buy a trailer door. i got one for $25.00 go to the RV spot on there.you can paint them any color

i can make a set for a resonable price...(hinges)

Re: looking for under belly storage bay doors

Keith,
I just confirmed that the hinge on my battery door is like the ones you have pictured above. The hinge on the storage bay doors is rubber. It’s basically a piece of rubber that is sandwiched in two plates to create a hinge. Looks easy enough to replicate if needed but I did find that a little odd especially with the battery door being a more normal piano hinge style. Either way, I think I'm having pretty good luck finding junk yard doors that will work.
I will post up a picture of it this weekend.
