Looks Really Tempting. Except For The, "Not Running," Bit...

2008 Gillig Transport $2200:

And maybe the GVW & airbrake licensing upgrades I may need...

A place to park for the build...

Oh yeah, can't forget all that modern emissions kludge.

Hope Christopher chimes in with how to maybe do a computer work around!

Seriously?

They bought it for $500.
So that's $1700 profit for towing it it home.

And they bought it in 2017, so it's been sitting for a year and a half that they owned it.

On a school bus, I could see that the computer might be able to be bypassed or worked around, since its a bus body on a normal truck frame. On this thing, where everything is purpose-built, I doubt you'll even get it started without the computer on it. Plus, there's no information on mileage on the engine, or transmission. As a bus company, you don't pull the computer and alternator off your good running spare - you do that from the parts junker.

It looks interesting if you want an expensive aluminum shed with great windows.
I'd say run away otherwise, but since the bus doesn't run, a slow saunter will suffice.

I couldn't access the link on my fon, short of typing it in, and not interested enough in any rig manufacted after all the smog controls became required to do that!

Nah, I've already got a Rubbermaid collapsible yard box for surplus storage outside.
Good call. Since it's not pouring down a choad toker ATM, a leisurely perambulation sounds just grand!
