May sell my 35' 2000 International RE pusher
It's in the registry as Lucy the musical tour bus. The bus is in excellent shape. Insulated floor with new sanded plywood designed to look like wood flooring. Kitchen cabinet with sink etc. Built in couch. Tongue and grove pine on walls up to the windows. Needs water and sewer holding tanks, plumbing, electric, etc. No leaks. Not a bus to gut the ceiling because it is really nice as is.The interior metal walls are a part of the safety structure in a school bus, so I didn't and wouldn't remove them. The exterior yellow pain is really nice. Not against the law to have a Yellow bus in Oregon, so that was low priority for me. It's $12000 if interested.

Pictures would go a long way in selling a $12K bus.
Good luck on your sale...

I have essentially the same bus, but mine is 33' (hmmm, I better measure again).
What I love about it is it's big enough to make into a comfortable living space, yet small enough to drive pretty much anywhere. I've driven 40' buses in downtown Seattle. Not having that extra tail hanging out really allows my bus to easily get around in town, or tight campgrounds.
Mine has the 230hp T444E (they come 190 - 250), an MT643 four speed with an updated 4.10 rear end to get my rpms down when cruising.
I also love that it has two emergency doors to allow me to exit or enter without having to walk to the front every time.
The RE makes it pretty quiet while driving. The last couple of days I've been driving a mid size old BB with a FE. I can't hear a thing over the roar of that engine and radiator fan. My RE is soooo quiet comparatively.
If you're looking for a nice size bus for a conversion, it's a great layout in my opinion.

Sounds good but as others have said, photos are pretty important. I'm interested.

I agree. It fits in 2 Safeway/standard grocery store parking spaces. It was made to drive in cities and back roads.

What about the T444E do you find off-putting? Just curious, as my bus has the 230hp high torque version and I'm always interested in learning about the engine.

I'm not going to beat up on the T444e.
It's just not for me. I like my diesel's inline and I like them mechanical. I have an aversion to sensors, TCU's, ECM's and electrical failures that won't allow me to start my bus.

mechanical is fun.. but my T444E tuned with my laptop will hands down Haul-ass compared to my mechanical inline DT in the other bus

We all deserve to be happy. And my mechanically tuned 855 pleases me greatly.
I love cruising beyond the mechanical limits of my speedometer at 2100 RPM.

I'm confused about the comment about electronics ...
I thought yr 2000 has very little electronics.
Cad-kid, what year is yours ?
Steven, which trans does Lucy have and what is her final drive ratio and which horsepower version ?

I'm sorry that I don't know the horsepower version. It seems to have plenty. It is an automatic trans. A 3 speed I think. On the freeway the cruising speed seemed to be 55 to 60. I think this is pretty typical, being school buses are used mostly on rural roads to pick up and drop of children. I bought the bus from the school's garage and drove it home about 150 miles. It drove and handled well. I went to work converting it and only drove around the block a few times.

my 444e is a 2000 year but it has a 2004 ECM in it.. and I swapped in a 6 speed electronic transmission, tuned the computers and built a digital dash.. so its not stock..
