there are still the ones in missouri Reman by navistar for 650 bucks each too... good time to pick up a spare 643 it seems many are dumping them at this point.

Is this MT643 a direct swap for an AT545 without modifications? I don't have any issues with my AT545, but if I ever do I would want an upgrade.

more complex on a 444E as you need extra support for the trans on that motor.. along with the same ive mentioned in i think the other thread... flexplate, driveshaft shortened, cooler line mods. (easy)..

the part numbers are published everywhere for the DT360/466 flexplates but im not sure which one you need for the 444E... that one may just mate up because the flexplate and flywheel are the same and the 545 uses a reducing ring so the flexplate may be the same... cross supports would be the biggest difference id think..

Thanks! I have no issues with my AT545, just wondering if there was a plug and play upgrade.

nothing really plug N play.. mechanically a 1000 / 2000 bolts right up with no extra supports.. but you have the computers to make work...

the 643 is a bit of a challenge mechanically but theres no electronics.. same things i used to work with when I was hot-rodding so to me its the usual to have to source parts, make parts and adapt.. for someone with your mechanical skills you could definitely do it.
