Need crossover mirror

Note to self: don't back up through narrow gates in the dark. The fence post won this round.

Anyone have a passenger side round crossover mirror they can sell me? Or a link or number for a favorite junkyard?

This is the one that looks down to the front bumper, from waaay out front. I need the glass and the holder that has a big bolt for mounting.

2002 Thomas (conventional)

Thanks!

We took the crossover mirrors off our bus and don't intend to put them back on. Are you sure you need them? AFAIK they're only used for seeing in front of the bus while students are crossing, and not to be used for driving. We've got an AMTRAN bus, so I'm not sure if the glass is the same. I can snap a pic later if you want.

No, I don't really need them, but they're slick when maneuvering. I like being able to see straight down in front of me. They are also handy for lane positioning: I can see the stripes on either side.

However, they indeed are a touch distracting while driving, especially at night. And I can check lane positioning with the side mirrors, too. I may just remove them.

Thanks for the reminder.

Well, you can have it for the cost of shipping if you decide you want it (and if it's the correct mirror). I'll take a look at it and post a pic in a bit.

They are also useful for checking that all your front lights are working. I was impressed the first time I drove and saw that all 4 mirrors have a useful and specific use and are all needed.

Removed mine the day I drove the bus home... they sat in my back yard until my last scrap yard run. they would have been yours.

Here's a couple shots of the mirror. Not sure if yours are the same setup or not. Looks like they're heated too.

I too, keep my crossover mirrors.. i use them all the time for parking.. i drive my bus in the city.. and yep i parallell park it on the streets! so those extra mirrors come in handy..

the ones in the pic are fisheye mirrors and are better than the plain round ones i think.. id get a set of those and replace both with those..

Don't have 'em on mine as separate units. They're included in the two mirrors on the front. Besides, I used to be a gear jammer who dragged around 53' of real estate behind me.

I've got a pair of fisheyes (with brackets) you can have, if you want them.

Thanks, all! First order of business is to make sure my wife and I are on the same page as to keeping or removing. If we choose to keep, I'll measure and be back to you individually. I appreciate your support.
