Need mechanic help in Tucson

Hello friends! I'm wondering if anyone who has experience in spark plugs would be willing to help me while I'm stuck in Tucson! I need to change my wires, distributor cap, rotor, and points. I can pay for the work, I'm just trying to avoid the expensive bills that a workshop would charge.

It would be a huge help! And hopefully I will be able to learn so I can do it alone for next time!

Hello, Friend. I had to do the same with my Loadstar 1603 (SV392). I have the firing order mapped out for both the distributor and the two sides of the block. Cadillackid was a tremendous help to me, when I first did mine as the wires had been installed (by others) flip-flopped and advanced one possition. (see below)

The correct firing order:
8-4-3-6-5-7-2-1

The first plug wire in the firing order starts with the #8 cylinder. The distributor cap will have a 1 or a dot embossed into the plastic. That refers to the first plug fired, which is cylinder #8 NOT cylinder #1. My final distributor position is written in sharpie below.

Maybe some Loadstar IH owners will chime in on the plug selection.

Plug selection should be a 6 heat range in a champion not the 12 used for around town driving, for continuous highway driving.

Danny did you get yours running yet?
