Need Power Steering Pump for 1987 Ford 429

I need a power steering pump for a 1987 Ford 429. Kept putting fluid in it, but now it seems to have come to the end of the road. I have a mechanic who found one in Texas for a sizeable sum. I am trying to see if there is a cheaper one closer to home.

Go to a salvage yard to find some interchange information. Power steering pumps are made to be used on a great variety of vehicles. Examine the pump ya have and find the makers name and and other information as to line sizes and location. There are many parts places who will/can send your pump off to
a rebuilder. Do a google search. When going to a salvage place take pics of your pump.. There should be many other buses and vehicles who use this pump.
Try to fix your pump. Make notes of any information as to prices, fit and rebuild. Frank
