If I had a nickel every time I read that in a VW or Mercedes ad, I would be filthy rich. OK, more filthy than rich but it sounds good.

Then they add that the radio, window, sunroof,left rear door, A/C doesn't work but should be an easy fix for $39.

There should be a mandatory form to fill out for selling your bus. It should be a link from the UserCP, right after you join the community, you can fill out the sale ad with certain criteria that is mandatory.

My bus was driven by a little old lady to church and back every Sunday and 1/4 mile at a time at the track the rest of the week. Being a million mile motor and all its just now broke in at 365k miles and is ready for it's first oil change. Sometimes you have to do a little burnout just to clean the tires off.

Thread crapping is a serious topic. Things can go downhill very rapidly and do very often. It does scare some people way when things get out of hand. What I dislike is colorful descriptions to hype what is being sold.

Has anyone ever purchased a new Detroit 60 series/Allison B500 and transplanted said equipment into a school bus?

This engine/trany combination was supposed to have been highly vaunted in the motor coach industry.

How much truth is there in this? I have heard that a well cared for 60 series will last 3 million miles. Truth?

I put half a bottle of Seafoam in my at545 and gained 15mph and 5mpg. I drank the rest.

On a more serious note. Are you sure seafoam product in a can at Walmart for transmissions. I've used seafoam in the gas tank but I've never seen this before. Any feedback? Is it for any particular type of transmission?

The 'regular' SeaFoam can be added to gas or oil.....they also make a SeaFoam product specifically for your transmission.

A fuel additive for cleaning deposits. I added a can a few months ago and it really made a difference.
