Question first since I tend to type a lot: Does anyone know of a good way to find a shortbus near Toronto, Ontario? Also any info for registration and insurance will be appreciated, but this isn't really the thread for it.
Hey there, I just joined the forum here after on and off lurking for quite a while. I have a dream / plan / idea of taking an extended road trip across Canada this summer, starting in Quebec end of July and then heading to BC with no return date. Will give up my home and basically live in the bus until I decide to settle again.
Was looking for a van for easy parking and discretion, but from what I see a short bus + RV and WVO conversions is the most economical way to go by far. Any tips on where to find something in Ontario (or ?? other suggestions) and how to examine a bus for suitability / fitness would awesome.
I did spend some time on Lapeer's jacuzzi bus last year... stuck in the beach and everything... so I have an idea what being on a bus is like. I expect I'll need to have lots of tools with me.
Luckily I'm mechanically pretty good, just inexperienced. Rebuilding my motorcycle's carb on a picnic table in New Mexico was a treat.
