That being said, if anyone has a 5-ton transfer case I am ALL EARS as I have a M931 tractor I want to bob with a blown input shaft.

Rusty; I found several transfer cases today but didn't check them out at all. They did look new. One looked like a 5 ton transfer case but it's hard to tell in pics.
I believe they were on GovLiquidation and the "transmission" search country wide doesn't produce much of a list.

seems like the guy that won it was either exporter or dealership, he was bidding on the other two crowns as well.

How much did the Gillig and that older Crown go for?
Seems like the bottom is really falling out of the market for these buses. Wonder what's causing it?

Actually, I think those are pretty solid auction prices for both of those. The three Anaheim Crowns that went to auction recently all sold for less than $3000.
That Gillig is a rare bus. There aren't many of those late model deep window Gilligs left. Hope it goes to a good home!

These buses TOP OUT at 55 mph, making for a LONG ride home and anywhere else till they're regeared. Would make a nice daily driver for someone in the mountains though.

try 1500 instead of 500..

I don't understand your post.
I've bid up to 1700 on them at one point.

I went through the database later last night again, but only found one transfer this time and it was definitely not the one you're looking for. Couldn't find the second one at all.
There's a M925 in excellent shape for sale from a firehouse a couple hours south of me at Bandon on the coast. I bought 2 M35A2s and a M109 van when the market was flooded about eight years ago. They're not as good in the snow as I thought they'd be.
Found another 643 transmission; Groveport, OH. There is no photo or information on this lot and it at $25. Had to look it up by parts number. No way to tell if it's new or junk without seeing it.
Image not available.
Hydraulic Transmission, Mdl 12423733 - Government Liquidation
Rusty; This is the only transfer I've been able to find now that I'm actually looking for one. Looks like a 5/4 transfer case but is way to strange. Two available in new condition.
BAE Systems, Transfer Transmission Assembly, P/N 1536085-801 - Government Liquidation
However, this transmission is what is reported as a "medium tactical 5 ton". Appears to be used.
So, no transfer case except the one still attached to a nice looking 5 ton cargo for $2k. Have you seen the M151 power packs in PA?

Is anyone bidding on the other 1545P in AZ? Less than an hour remaining and it's at $502. Also, if you notice on the steel container it says it's a 545, not a 1545P.
I'd like to get it but I don't want to drive to AZ.

Seen a few bargains in the southwest on Public Surplus.
I need more land, and a bit more money.

What really bothers me is that Florida districts often sell fairly new buses that are already stripped down for parts. No accident damage on these buses, not that I can see.
Just...why??

It seems they don't actually buy spare parts. They wait till they have a problem, then strip them to keep the other rolling junk moving. When it's picked clean they dump it
