There's some decent looking buses reasonably priced on eBay right now.

It is the ISB.
The ones in Olympia are in fact the 12v mechanical as far as I can tell.

Dont think this is a bad buy. Looks clean, appears to be taken out of service and a manual. Does have hydraulic brakes. Thought I would throw out there.

Yea, I messaged the seller but never got a reply back. No engine pics, no interior pics other than the drivers seat. Poorly listed. It will be back.

What I found in my research...... Bought at auction in 2015 for 3650.00...... https://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/au...w?auc=1450758( Since then less than a thousand miles put on it, meaning that this bus has been sitting for the better part of 3 years meaning that there would probably be multiple items that would have to be gone through.(ALL fluids, brakes, hoses, seals. You know, the usual from a heavy vehicle sitting.) I finally got a response back this morning...... Price is FIRM according to, as he signed the e-mail, "The owner of one pimp ass bus". Yea, I'm still laughing.

Are you still interested in this bus? I would try my hand at negotiating a better price with the seller if your tapping out. Seems like a pretty good bus but its going to cost me at least another 1k and 30 hours of driving to get it home. Did you get any additional info about it out of him besides its "pimp ass" status?

What I thought curious is there is a VIN tag over a second VIN tag?

All the info I got on it was from researching the numbers. He did give me the ceiling hight. It's one of those rare buses with an eight foot ceiling!! Guessing that it's the 6 foot. It does have the 8.3 with the 643 trans.

it's the 6 foot?
Looking in the front door it is definitely a low floor model, which is where they get the 8" ceiling.
With that drivetrain surely someone should surely snatch that up. Half hour to go.

I figured it was a 6' ceiling too from the drivers side pic, the passenger windows are the same height as the drivers window. I know thats not a guarantee, but I think on BB that means standard height. It did look pretty tall in the interior pic but that is probably just distortion from a wide angle picture. I would need to get it for about 4k to make it worth the drive. I doubt he will go that low, but theres only one way to find out.

My mistake, thought you were referring to the one I posted about on CL. The one on Ebay I haven't gotten any reply on more info. The Ebay one is a higher ceiling hight. That's the one that was listed poorly. It will end up being re listed. I'm still contemplating going the transit bus way.

My wife has been talking a lot about transits lately, she likes the size, they seem to have a lot more headroom with the low floors, and they also seem wider than your average skoolie too. I dont know enough about them yet to feel comfortable bidding on something like that eBay one, especially with a seller with 0 feedback.

Poorly listed items are usually the best deals. While the eBay listing may be vague, I see nothing screaming at me that says don't buy this fro $2800. One of the best deals you can find is when you misspell what you are looking for. You will find items that were listed spelled incorrectly and no one knows they are listed because their search is for the correct spelling.

Great advice there. Educated buyer, uneducated seller + bad listing = really good deal.
Take my shorty for example. The seller wasn't great at answering questions on Public Surplus. Barely any pics and they were bad angles and very vague.
I figured out what I was looking at and put in a lowball bid. $1625 total price. Nicest bus I've owned yet in five.

Closed with zero bids.
Lot of talk lately about how the price of buses has gone up and the really good deals are few and far between. Yet I'm looking on eBay and see lots of decent buses for $2500 or less.

Not for myself, but just because it was local, I was watching your bus at auction.
