I would bid on two or three to resell, but they're 3100 miles away.
The sad part is in two or three weeks max someone will come on here saying they've been looking for this bus. Or that they just paid a dealer $6500 for one.

Buy my 2004 Dodge3500 dually, 5.9. NV-5600, Edge Juice, SS exhaust and 22.5 Alcoa's and I might be able to squeeze another bus

Not me, I love to make a buck off a bus. Or even more than a buck if possible. I think most of us try to steer newbies away from the super-overpriced dealers like bga but some folks just WON'T buy an auction bus. They'd rather buy that same bus from YOU. IDK why this is, but this is where making a buck is easy.

I feel the same way.

I came across a for sale thread where the seller had purchased at auction, drove it home, titled and registered, pulled the seats out and I think that he had pulled out the floor. He offered it for sale for a bit more than he paid for it. Someone tracked down the original auction and saw what he had originally paid for it and proceeded to give him grief for trying to turn a small profit.

That's not too surprising. I figure if you're listing your bus on skoolie.net you're already doing it wrong. We're the wrong crowd and some are more vocal than others about that. Personally I only say something if a bus is listed for multiple times its market value. I wouldn't flinch if someone bought all those buses for $500 and listed them for $5000 each.

I don't have issue either.

I bought a boat a few years ago. I spent many a weekend cleaning, fixing and upgrading. When I sold it I priced it fairly. The first person to look at it bought it and took it home.

Then he discovered a copy of the bill of sale that I had accidentally left in the boat. he was pissed at me. he came back and wanted me to refund the difference between what I had paid and what i sold it to him for.

That’s just insane, somebody wanting something for nothing. They don’t realize all of the work that you put into made it worth what you were asking not what you paid.

That’s why I have no problem with someone buying a bus for said price doing the leg work of getting it titled, driving it possibly hundreds to thousands of miles, removing the seats and making a profit. Removing the seats can possibly be one of the most difficult tasks honestly.

Some people are too “elitist” about things. Who cares if someone sells something for a profit! It’s not like they’re trying to steal money from people.

This is America...a Capitalist society that rewards people willing to do some work. Profit is NOT a four letter word.


You want something for nothing move to a Socialist country (if you can find one that isn't already bankrupt).


Was never a big Margaret Thatcher fan but absolutely agree with one comment she made on this subject...

Hahaha you’re more cruel than I am! My wife always has trouble with impacts and drills. I tried to have her help with that but ended up just climbing up and down with vise grips until my buddy came over. But I will give my wife credit she has done amazing works throughout the build!
