The 71 Dodge.
That FL bus doesn't look terrible. At least it isn't covered in mold or is a pile of parts like many of the ones I see. But with 235K on the odometer thats def going to be 1500 max bid

First time I can remember bidding on a FL bus but looks real decent. 7 window high headroom WC bus with Cat 3126 and real decent tires (mostly).
Only at $960 currently with an hour or so left. Someone should scoop it up!

I'm considering it...

30 minutes left and it's at $980
Ultimately I've decided I've got too much going on this month to add a surprise 1,000 mile roadtrip.

A bunch of MCI coaches in Mich. all starting at $3450. All 2006 models, all over a million miles on them.

People are going to be FIGHTING for these buses, especially if they actually have MD3060s. At least one of them has a driveline retarder too.

. Easiest way to tell is from the side, if the passenger windows are higher than the drivers window, it would be high roof, this does not.
Always look to see if any questions were asked/answered. There was one on this bus concerning height, 76". Not a high roof
This bus has a $3500 reserve, the other ones there have a $4k reserve.

I looked this up in the Bluebird Vantage portal. It IS apparently the high roof model even though the windows are smaller. 77 inches. Low roof is 72-74 iirc.
For awhile BLuebird offered the option of high ceiling + low roof windows. So it kinda looks like a low roof bus but if you look it the specific bus on the Bluebird site it gives you the exact ceiling height.
Bluebirds are way better for roof raises than Thomas. You'll have 90 degree walls. About the only downside is that Bluebird uses a TON of rivets in the interior assembly whereas Thomas and International use screws.

Thanks
I noticed the side windows were flush but the inside photos made it look higher. How do you know the reserve? Isn't that a secret?? LoL

It's only a secret if you don't ask. I see no reason to hide a reserve price. I called them and asked. I do this so I have answers others don't . I rarely use the ask a "question" feature unless it is for something negative I want revealed. It helps scare off buyers due to issues that may be easily fixed.

Hiding reserve price is dumb. I see a few sellers do it and it makes zero sense to me.
Colorado buses are some of the best, they're usually well maintained, miniscule to zero rust and have decent options and good transmissions/gearing.

I think the reserve price of $3500 is the absolute maximum I would pay for one of these. $4k is a bit steep. I only paid $3500 for my Genesis and it is by far a better bus.

They are high roof as I mentioned above and do have driveline retarders which isn't something you see every day. Plus if it really does have MD3060 then that adds a bit of value as well.
I could see $5K range with the right bidder. Colorado buses are MINT

I disagree, i think 5k is a reasonable price fro ma private party sale, but this is an auction.

High roof, as in 77"? What is standard for this bus and what would be the highest a person can find without a lift. I suspect I'm facing a lift as I plan to live 100% fulltime up here North of the 49th so I contemplate a lot more insulation than most of you in the southern parts of the continent.

74 inches is the most common ceiling height. 77 is the premium high roof option but is more common on Bluebirds built in the last 10 years or so.
I live in Wisconsin which is a cold climate as well. I am not planning on doing a roof raise however I am only 5 ft 11 inch so I have room to work with on my bus as is.

My bus was 78" (6'6") with the original floor and is now 79" from the metal floor (it also has 29" high windows). This height seems very uncommon for Internationals, but apparently Thomas C2s have the same height as well as a flatter roof (so less height drop to the edges).

I'm considering 3.5 - 4 inches of insulation in the floor and the ceiling. More in the ceiling if I can.
Plus finish. That's likely 9 total for sure. That gives 70" very best case. Will definitely be looking at a lift.
Thanks
Steve
