I WANT IT SO BAD!! Unfortunately it's far away and I am mechanically disinclined...

1968 airport fire truck!! Says it runs but needs new batteries and tires at the very least.

Yup, that's a good one. High Roof Superior body on a GMC chassis. Oddball motor, but knowing how gov't rescue equipment gets used and maintained, its probably fine with tons of life life left in it. Nice dry rare bus...

Hi everyone, I'm really hoping this link works, but basically there's a school district in Castle Rock, CO selling a bunch of busses with good motors and transmissions.

Here's the link: Good Busses

Hopefully it works. IDK, I had it sorted by date new to old and also specified listings in Castle Rock. Most of them have either the DT466 + Allison 643, or a Cummins 8.3 + Allison 3060. Also a few Ford shorties with 7.3's

Hopefully some of us can get the good models we're looking for from this auction.

Hey!! Don't tell them!! That's the auction I am watching!!!

Just kidding. But I did mean to ask opinions. There are 3 6-window shorties with the 7.3 engine, exactly what I want. They have 250k, 277k, and 313k miles. In this pandemic buses seem to be going faster and for more $$, and we are getting stir crazy at home. I also live in the heart of the rust belt, so I can't find anything close to home. Would you wait for a bus with fewer miles, or gamble on a higher mile bus if the price is right? I have a friend out there who might be able to get it inspected and pick it up for me.

I think a better question is whether or not your friend could also be my friend and pick up TWO busses and bring them back to the area ;)

Low mileage, purpose built bloodmobile

Another nice TC2000 with 8.3/MT643

High mileage, but decent looking bus

The only thing that sucks about the '99 - '00 All Americans is that awful multi-function gauge that never works after 20 years and is difficult to replace or fix. Not a deal breaker but defenitely a nuisance. Best ones are 2002+ with the updated gauge cluster and left side rocker switch panel.

Huh, my multi-function gauge seems to work just fine. It's a pain to have to cycle through to see every gauge, but I plan on adding the blue fire with a tablet on the dash with multiple gauges on it.

It's been broken on the 7-8 buses I've driven with them. They get washed out really easily and don't age well.

All you noobs requesting info and pricing on buses need to keep an eye on this thread. This is where we will post decent deals that we are not affiliated with the sale, just post for others to see whats out there. No need to pay $6k-$9k for a used bus.

2002 Thomas, 5.9 w/Allison 4000 sitting at $1550

https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?f...10&acctid=1083

2000 BlueBird 5.9 w/Allison 2000 sitting at $2000

https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?f...20&acctid=1592

2001 BlueBird 5.9 w/Allison 2000 sitting at $1525

https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?f...23&acctid=1592

2003 Special Ed Bus. Midsize, sitting at $1000. Mileage seems suspect. Normally I would argue low mileage, I'd be surprised if an 03 SpecEd bus would have 300K+ miles on it. Be worth checking it's condition if it stays near that price. It could be a typo and many will shy away from bidding because of the mileage.

A 4000 behind a 5.9? Are you sure? Last I checked the 4000 is gigantic and made for semi truck sized engines. Would probably be impossible to kill in an skoolie application lol, they like to put these in 50,000-80,000 lb fire trucks.

I could believe that kind of mileage. Seen a pair in person even that had that kind of mileage, they're still for sale at M&M.

2001 Freightliner $3495 Maryland flat nose "I have 4 other buses right now same make and model" dealership.

2004 Freightliner $2500 Maryland shorty

2007 International $4000 Delaware

I'm sure that it said it in the ad, not my bus.
SpecEd buses usually don't see near the mileage a route bus see, so seeing that many on that year model is unusual to me.

Yeah 4000 is generally an SAE1 bell, so I wouldn’t fit most of the medium. Duty engines
