2003 Blue Bird 35 passenger
Cat 3126 + Allison 2000
This is a bus that I'm super interested in, it ends in two days. Perfect size for what I've been imagining.

You're probably right about the mileage. It's just hard to stay patient.

With as much as buses are selling for and with a whole subreddit now watching govdeals I'd not be surprised if someone pays that.

The condition, the low amount of miles are why it went so high.

I know this is just lighthearted, but compared with building out a van, there is actually great utility in a small shortbus or box truck compared with a van. Van's are just barely too skinny to comfortably sleep horizontally (which is the only efficient layout for a vehicle that size). A few more inches side-to-side makes a huge difference for interior space efficiency, on top of this, the straight walls make building easier.
That said, paying 6k for a 1990 shortbus with unknown mileage and low ceiling in rather unknown condition, at auction seems crazy...

Is it for sale? What's the total length bumper to bumper? What motor does it have? Has it been maintained on the inside or are things dirty and or leaked on? Is it rusty underneath? Gotta share the sweet details.

Except he wants something to haul his disabled mother and brother around town with so that van-bus would have been perfect for his needs.
That RV looks pretty typical. My folks have a class a with low miles and wasn't a whole lot more money than that.
The used school bus market has virtually nothing to do with the rv market.

Here is a 2005 shuttle bus for $3,900. It does have 328,000 miles on the V10, so while the V10 is still running good after 328,000 miles, it may not have much left.

We were about to plop down 75k for a triple axle toyhauler. I am not much educated on these as we had started looking at them about a year ago. It was disappointing to see the cheapness of the product for what you got. Such a turnoff that we abandoned the idea. I joined the Wanderlodge group to learn about those and eventually decided what I wanted was never to be found in terms of interior styling. That said, with todays events, I believe people are headed to homelessness and therefore may be driving up the prices of buses, campers and the like. Wherever I drive I find a panhandler at each corner of most major intersections. Its ugly out there. Regarding that little yellow 1990 bus, All I can think of is some guy has a Hummer 1 and needs the powertrain.

I doubt it. We've had noobs come on here ready to buy buses just like that one for as much as 10 grand. I'll bet it ends up "conversion blue" and on reddit in a month.

You can buy those handicap lifts for..free from bus conversion people getting rid of them. And how is it possible that people converting school bus into a motorhome are not thinking of going direct to a motorhome, and strip it down to bare and rebuild it like they door for school buses? hmm, maybe some [Mod Edit] bus conversion people talk them down???
